A striking and attractive piece of african art. The Luba are known for their beautiful sculptures. Carvers display incredible flexibility in terms of their representation techniques, some of which are so distinctive, and in fact the vast majority of known Luba sculptures depict female rather than male figures. Acquired in Africa near Luba land, its overall condition is good despite wear of time. A very good piece for collectors or decoration.
